The Hyvä Experience
Our authentic cedar barrel saunas are 8 feet long and comfortably hold up to 6 adults. Powered by a wood-burning stove, our saunas provide a natural and authentic heat source and can reach temperatures in excess of 90°C if desired. A sauna ladle and bucket are included, allowing you to pour water over the rocks and experience a deep, cleansing steam.
Our saunas offer numerous health benefits, including improving cardiovascular function, reducing stress, and increasing skin health.
All of our bookings include delivery, setup, and a supply of firewood for the duration of sauna use, making it convenient for customers to enjoy the benefits of a sauna without any additional hassle.
Our Story
Our story begins on the icy rinks of Finland, where our founder — a former professional hockey player — discovered more than just a passion for the game. Between practices and matches, he was introduced to a centuries-old Finnish ritual: the sauna. What started as post-game recovery soon became a daily wellness practice that transformed both body and mind.
After returning home to British Columbia, he brought that experience with him — the deep heat, the woodsy aroma, the sense of calm and connection that only a true sauna can offer. Determined to share the same tradition that shaped his health and mindset, he founded Hyvä Saunas with one goal: to bring the authentic Finnish sauna experience to the beautiful landscapes of the Okanagan and beyond.
